The story of Vestafi
The Story of Vestafi
Founded in 2022, Vestafi was born out of a simple but urgent observation about the Ugandan housing market. With 71% of urban households renting, a housing deficit of 2.4 million units, and an estimated 300,000 units needed every year, ownership has remained out of reach for most — locked behind large capital requirements and connections. Vestafi set out to prove a different model could work operationally before scaling it.

An Operational Question
Rather than raising money on promises, Hakiza Ronald approached Vestafi as an operational question first: can a circle of aligned members co-own real apartments, generate documented rental income, and distribute it fairly? The answer had to be proven with real units and real rent before any expansion.
